Musings on Prayer:

“Pray without ceasing,” (I Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV)

Prayer changes people, perspectives and predicaments. Therefore, consider carefully whether you are speaking to the right person about your situation or circumstance. It is often true that we spend more time talking to people about things than we do talking to God. Don’t get me wrong, people certainly can and will do a lot for us at times; nevertheless God can always do more. People can do; God can undo, outdo and redo.  Use your energy and influence wisely. If you have a relationship with Jesus Christ and if you have a measure of faith, you can always get an audience with God. Moreover, if you simply have an open heart and mind, God is willing and able to listen and to help you. It may be good just to skip the middle man and speak directly to God. Prayer can do things that no other endeavor or instrumentality in life can.

“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” (Luke 18:1 NIV)
